We Offer Strength Through Unity and
Fraternity
Strength Through Unity.None of us is as good as all of us. As
members of the Knights of Columbus we all know that together we can
accomplish far more than any of us could individually. So, we stick
together…we support one another. That
doesn’t mean that we always agree or that there is never a
difference of opinion. It does mean that as a
Knight of Columbus –
you can count on the support and encouragement of your
Brother Knights as you work to make life better in your family and at work,
in our parish and in our community.
Like Minded Brother
Knights. If you are a Catholic man and have come to our website
and think you may benefit from becoming a member of our Brotherhood
where you can be of service to our Church, to our Parishes and to
our community and where you will enjoy the companionship of
like-minded Brother Knights we welcome the opportunity to meet and
talk with you.
As Knights we are a male only organization
and we hold our families in the highest regard and virtually all of
our events and celebrations are open to our families and friends.
As a visitor to our website, we hope that you may appreciate the
ideas we embrace and the goals we establish to support the Cathedral
and the Archdiocese of St. Paul and to help our Brothers and their
families experience spiritual enrichment as we grow in faith.
Who We Are
The
Knights of Columbus
(K of C) is a global Catholic
fraternal service order founded by
Father Michael J. McGivney on
March 29, 1882 when he was the pastor of a parish in a working class
section of New Haven, CT.
The
Knights of Columbus was
founded in 1882 as a mutual benefit society for working-class and
immigrant Catholics in the United States. As a worldwide financial
and charitable organization we have grown to support refugee relief,
Catholic education, local parishes and dioceses, and global Catholic
social and political causes.
The
Knights promote the
Catholic view on public policy issues, including opposition to
same-sex marriage, abortion, and birth control.
Out of this
small beginning, the
Knights of Columbus
has grown into an
organization of nearly 1.7 million members throughout the United
States and with strong presence in Canada, Mexico, the Philippines
and Poland. The Knights continue to promote the ideals of charity,
unity, fraternity and patriotism originally laid down by
Fr. McGiveny.
Our Cathedral Council
As the Grand Knight of the Cathedral Council
I would be pleased to meet with you and your family to talk about
the Knights and what we can offer you.
